I had some MDA freebase in acetone and the fucking idiot that I am, I realized that my pH paper took a lot longer to develop than I thought so I had never actually brought the pH to acidic. I started adding HCl and checking and I was amazed at how much it was taking. All of the sudden I noticed that there was a little bubbling, I checked the pH and it was between 1-2!!!! I frantically started adding NaOH to bring it back up and some fierce bubbling ensued. Now I have a bunch of white goo stuck my stirring rod and collected at the bottom. What has happened?!?! What should I do?!?!?! |

After adding the NaOH powder and the bubbling stopped, the pH was basic again, but all of the white goop didn't redisolve. I know it's not NaCl because there is a little bit of that at the bottom to compare it to. So the pH was taken down mucu more carefully to about 5 although it is hard to say considering the paper rapidly changes color as the acetone evaporates. PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT HAS HAPPENED! If I broke the oxygen bonds and made speed, I am going to kill myself. I hate speed! |

Ok, so now I have a better understanding of what is going on. When the pH was too high, I should have just stirred because it would have gone back up as the HCl's binded with the MDA's. Could someone please just tell me what the implications of adding solid NaOH to one's MDA is. I know it is bad cuz strike tells you to use lots of cooling when basifying one's MDA solution. Mine got extremely hot. |

Since all of the posts have been by me, why not add another! Ok so I added HCl to the room temperature solution and it started snowing! I think the MDA-HCl was more willing to come out of solution at a warmer temp because of the presence of NaCl. I kept on adding and stirring hoping that I would reach a solution that was somewhat clear as all of the MDA became salt. This didn't happen. I got down to a pH of 2 and stirring didn't help and the solution was still amber. So, I vacuum filtered everything I had and then added a little solid NaOH to bring it back up to neutral. I dipped my finger into the filter cake and it tasted salty, but way worse than just salty. I've been trying to decide if what I've been feeling was placebo, but I truly am having some difficulty concentrating and I went for a walk and caught myself holding myself. I can hear it in the way I talk to people also. Tomorrow is Valentine's day and me and my valentine are gonna ROLL! This is my first success after many bull shit fuckups including an Al/Hg that produced nothing that I was able to recover. But, we'll have to try that again at a later date after I've fully de-stressed from this project. I know I'm rambling but I just want to say that this thread isn't just for Dope Amines. I'd really like it if someone would explain to me what happens when the pH goes too low in one's MDA solution and also why when basifying, it must be added slowly and kept cool. I was not completely successful at either of these things. |

Man, I'm surprised, I thought you had already done this several times w/o hitch. I used to freak out just like you all the time not knowing what to expect and I now realize nobody answered my panic attack threads simply because I was blowing things out of proportion and needed to chill. Its hard to destroy the stuff (my opinion). From past dreams (only 2) mdma (don't know about mda) will crystalize out of a dirty matrix of oil when given the right conditions: 1) ph below 7 2) colder the better warm will dissolve it back into the matrix 3) no water present 4) solution is not shaken and left to sit for hours or even days 5) if left for days in cold the crystals become a large mass crystals formed immediately in the matrix when straight hcl was added
to the amine/ketone oil. |

Thanx for the reply. Yea I had no idea that the pH would adjust if I only stirred. I freaked out and made things a lot worse. I wonder how much table salt is in my product. I think I might have to give a full report of 100 mg of product tomorrow! 
BTW Ya know that I've been here on and off ever since before the Hive was at Lycaeum. Can you believe it has taken me this long to get to product! I had been sitting on 100 mg of cyano for over 2.5 years. Well, its not like I've been doing this shit every week...... Thanks everybody for the helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

say is that I definately agree the MDA is better. I don't feel so jumpy
and talkative. It's more of a knock out body high. Instead of blabing, I'm
